Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of her hometown. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder and her family relocated to Mendocino, California, when Ryder was seven. They lived in a place without electric power. There was no television books were Ryder's only distraction to spend the time and she began to read extensively. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was twelve years old. In 1986, she got her first major-screen appearance in the film Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Ryder was hopeful that her work as an actress could make a difference. However, it didn't come happen. But she continued to pursue her dreams. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big break. Ryder kept playing successful roles in several movies. In 1993, he was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
